James Nehring

James Nehring loves a good adventure, and he doesn't let his fear of heights, risk, and speed get in the way. He pursues the kind of adventures available to most people reading this blurb who love thrills, uncertainty, and challenge, but on their own terms. Author of eight books, he's appeared on National Public Radio and CNN. His essays have appeared in the Boston Globe, Washington Post and Chicago Tribune. Recipient of a Fulbright award and a Brown University alumni award, he served many years as a classroom teacher and school leader, then, professor at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
