S. D. Williams

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a fascination with those mysteries that help make our world fascinating. No doubt, being a child of the 1970s, I was influenced by TV shows such as Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World, the twisted stories of Tales of the Unexpected, the re-runs of Rod Serling's amazing Twilight Zone. My interest was compounded by Jeff Wayne's musical opus. During the 1980s, the science fiction of TV shows like V The Miniseries, The Tripods and Choky cemented my interest. It was during this period that I also discovered the writings of Stephen King, and fellow Merseyside natives Ramsey Campbell and Clive Barker.

I remain in awe of the early movies of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter and the mighty Alfred Hitchcock.

To this day, I seek what I am afraid of discovering. I remain afraid of watching scary movies without having a reassuring room light on.

I live in Formby, with my wife and our two small dogs.

I currently specialise in writing short stories.
