Larry VanHoose is a writer, husband, father, and storyteller who believes faith should be honest, not polished. After years of writing articles and devotionals for men who’d rather do almost anything than read another “religious book,” Larry created his first full-length book, Forged: 52 Weeks of Grit, Growth, and Grace for Men Who Don’t Like to Read.

His writing blends real-life experience, biblical truth, a touch of humor, and a down-to-earth voice that meets men right where they are. Larry lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with his lovely wife, Trina. Their four grown children have “flown the coup,” so he spends his time working on the family’s farm, hunting, hiking, investing in his local community, and trying to live out the tough lessons he writes about.
