Yoko Kumano

Yoko Kumano is a certified kikizakeshi (sake sommelier) and co-founder of Umami Mart, a shop in Oakland, California specializing in drinks and design from Japan. She is the co-author of Everyday Sake, and has written several zines on sake and Japanese cooking. As the sake director of Umami Mart, she has run Sake Gumi, the shop’s monthly sake club for over a decade. She lives in Berkeley, California.
