Michael F. Schulze

Michael F. Schulze has lived the kinds of stories most authors can only research. Once a major drug trafficker, he was convicted in federal court and sentenced to 30 years in prison. During two full decades behind bars, Schulze immersed himself in federal law, becoming an accomplished self-taught legal researcher and writer. His legal work ultimately helped him successfully challenge his own sentence, cutting approximately seven years from the 30-year term originally imposed.

Today, he has transformed those experiences into books, technology, and interactive storytelling. Schulze is the author of Paper Jumpsuit, Deportation 101, and the non-fiction novel The METHod: Operation Vegas Ice. Through Continent 5 Media, he also created Gallery Aurora, a digital companion experience that allows readers to scan QR codes within his books and explore photographs and other media connected directly to the people, places, and events on the page.

Schulze's work blurs the boundary between memoir, law, crime fiction, and multimedia—inviting readers not simply to read a story, but to step inside it.
