Ravi Tiwari

Ravi Tiwari is a British-Indian author, entrepreneur and community volunteer based in Swindon, United Kingdom. After more than twenty years working across corporate IT, banking, business and technology projects, he turned to writing to explore the stories, conflicts and emotions that sit behind everyday life - family, ambition, courage, community, politics, heartbreak, and the secrets people carry quietly with them.

His writing spans children’s fiction, cosy crime, political commentary and Hindi emotional fiction, but the heart of his work remains the same: ordinary people facing pressure, difficult choices and turning points that reveal who they really are.

Many of Ravi’s ideas are born in the in-between moments of a busy life - on trains, flights, late nights, quiet hotel evenings, and the rare pauses between one project and the next. His stories are often shaped by family, community, small towns, strong tea, public life, and the belief that even ordinary places can hide extraordinary stories.

The Smell of Burnt Scones is his debut cosy crime novel and the first book in the Chapter & Chai Mysteries, set in the fictional town of Ravensford, where the coffee is hot, the secrets are deadly, and nobody stays quiet for long.

Ravi also writes children’s stories inspired by teamwork, courage and real-world problem-solving, political works shaped by public life and civic engagement, and Hindi fiction exploring love, loss, memory and emotional resilience.
