Hi! Thank you for checking out my page! I am a Native of Nevada, born and raised in Las Vegas. In 2003, I became a Corrections Officer for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I retired in 2015 to pursue my love of teaching. I worked as a substitute full time and attended Grad School at UNLV. In 2017, I received my Master's Degree in Special Education, and have been with the Clark County School District since. I lost my husband to a heart attack in 2020. He was 48. In 2021, I moved to Cibolo Texas where I continued to teach Special Education for 2 1/2 years. I moved back to Las Vegas to be with my grandbabies.
I have been writing poems and short stories since I was 16 years old. I am currently working on Volume 2 and attending Grand Canyon University to pursue a second Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work. I want to work with Veterans exclusively.
I hope you enjoy my poems, as much as I enjoy writing them. It took me years to convince myself to share them, as they are written from personal experience and emotions. Thank you for your support!
