Andy Anderson

Andy Anderson Bio

Born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Andy Anderson achieved the rank of Eagle Scout (along with the rare Gold Quill writing award) before he was corrupted by rock ‘n’ roll. While attending college, Anderson wrote a weekly music column for the school’s newspaper which covered albums and artists most students had never heard of and would never bother to hear. After enrolling in Vanderbilt’s School of Law, Anderson discovered Nashville’s fledgling new music scene, leading him to establish the Nashville Intelligence Report which he edited and published from 1982-1985. After graduating and passing the Bar, Anderson wrote regularly for The Metro and Bone Music Magazine, along with occasional contributions to Play, Music Row, and R2rd. While he is pretty sure he knows who put the “bop” in the bop shoo bop shoo bop; he is still searching for who put the “ram” in the rama lama ding dong.
