Leon Herszon

Dr. Leon Herszon is an educator, researcher, and executive leader with over three decades of global experience in project, program, and portfolio management, business transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence in organizational settings. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers Business School, where he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses since 2010, consistently receiving near-perfect student evaluations for his ability to connect academic frameworks with real-world application.

His academic work is complemented by an extensive body of publications, including books, articles, and professional contributions focused on project complexity, leadership, and emerging technologies. He is the author of The Strategic Project Manager’s Guide to Complex Projects (Wiley, 2026), which integrates research and practice to address the challenges of managing projects in increasingly complex environments.

In parallel with his academic career, Dr. Herszon has held senior executive roles, including CEO & President of Value Edge Group, and leadership positions at the International Institute for Learning, where he led global consulting and enterprise initiatives. His experience spans multiple industries and regions, bringing a practical and applied perspective to his teaching and research.

Outside of his professional work, he is a multiple Ironman triathlon finisher, reflecting a strong commitment to discipline, resilience, and continuous improvement.
