Susan L Herrmann has been practicing social work for over 33-years and she recently served as the director of a critical service-learning study abroad program in Danang, Vietnam. Much of the wisdom she gained through that work has informed Breaking Up with the Patriarchy.
As a decolonizing consultant and training facilitator, Susan encourages students and activists to reflect on their worldviews and decolonize from within.
She completed her doctoral degree in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University in 2017. Her areas of scholarship focus on decolonization, kinship worldview, and returning to our original ways of relating-when we lived in harmony and balance with one another and with Nature.
Susan enjoys traveling, mothering, cooking, entertaining, gardening, singing, dancing and being in Nature.
