Marco Marra

Born in Naples on 8 April 1981, I qualified as a lawyer in 2009 and work primarily in labour law. My practice is rooted in empathy: I mostly represent workers, often people with little power, and I find meaning in standing beside them when conflicts become personal before they are legal.

Alongside my legal work, I am a tattoo and piercing practitioner. At times, I choose to gift these permanent marks to certain people, not as a necessity but as a gesture—an acknowledgement of connection, trust, and shared presence. Whether through law or through the body, my work has always revolved around listening, attention, and responsibility.

I teach law at a training institution, and creativity shapes everything I write: legal texts, poetry, and fiction alike. Imagination is not separate from rigour; it is the tool that allows me to move beneath the surface of things.

My first novel, begun in my early twenties and completed years later, marks a return to a long-standing narrative impulse. Other manuscripts are currently in progress and will follow.

My work explores fragility, choice, and the quiet negotiations that define human relationships. It is driven by a belief in personal growth as a continuous, unfinished process—and by a commitment to art in all its forms, especially where it intersects with lived experience.
