Niklas Ziermann

I am a self-taught Senior Software Engineer from Germany with a strong focus on modern web development.

I began programming at the age of 15 with the goal of becoming a game developer. While that path helped me discover my love for software engineering, I soon realized that my strengths lay in coding rather than in creating game art or music. From that point on, I decided to fully dedicate myself to programming.

Over the years, I have built extensive experience with languages like Java, Kotlin, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Today, I primarily work with JavaScript/TypeScript and Kotlin, due to their flexibility and multiparadigm nature.

Alongside my engineering work, I developed a strong passion for teaching programming. I've shared my knowledge through my own YouTube channel, through creating courses for the freeCodeCamp YouTube channel, and now by continuing this journey through writing programming books.
