Kimberly N. Bess is a 50-year-old woman of God. Woman of God is the most important title that she could ever possess; however, she also holds the titles of mother, grandmother, accountant/finance manager, certified mediator, and published author which can all be attributed to God. Afterall, she is the woman that God created and intended her to be.
Originally a Monroe, Louisiana native, she relocated to Dallas, Texas in 1998 after graduation from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She began her Accounting career at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Plano, Texas under the leadership of Ross Perot. Kimberly has worked in the field of Accounting for a total of 27 years in various industries such as information technology (IT), aerospace, Big Four Accounting firm - KPMG, and energy management services (oil & gas/electricity). Kimberly has held multiple positions from staff to managerial; and in order to climb the corporate ladder successfully, she expanded her education by receiving a Master of Business Administration from Amberton University and Master of Arts from Southern Methodist University. Currently, Kimberly is a finance manager for a non-profit organization.
Although Accounting is her career, writing is her passion. Kimberly discovered her love of writing in 1990 when she won an essay writing contest. The contest revealed the power of words, but the occurrence of a personal tragedy in 2022 marked the beginning of her spiritual journey; and her books are reflections of the lessons learned along her journey. Kimberly’s pilgrimage involved an isolation period where she left everything familiar including family, friends, social affiliations, and the building known as church. Of course, she changed her phone number and all contact information. All distractions were removed. Her sole teacher and companion were God. God became the ONLY voice she could/would hear.
