Christophe Chaumet

For more than twenty years, I practiced clinical Ericksonian hypnotherapy, a gentle, jargon-free approach centered on the resources every person already carries within.

My path took me through very different settings: practices in Paris, the Paris suburbs, the Ardèche region, and Montpellier, each bringing patients with different profiles and needs. I also worked remotely by video with French expatriates in Japan, China, and Canada, and with Tunisian patients seeking to quit smoking. This experience confirmed a simple conviction: the unconscious speaks a universal language, and Ericksonian hypnosis adapts to very different lives, as long as the guidance stays genuine.

Over these twenty years, I accompanied nearly a thousand patients through roughly 3,500 sessions, smoking cessation, chronic pain, anxiety, phobias, self-confidence. That clinical experience directly feeds into my books.

I retired from clinical practice in 2017, but not from sharing what I learned. My books carry this experience forward: practical self-hypnosis guides for the general public, and deeper works for professionals and curious readers who want to understand how Ericksonian hypnosis really works.

Today, I continue through my books and videos, convinced that Ericksonian hypnosis, well explained, is a tool for everyone.
