Rev. David Joseph Carr

Greetings! I hope those who read my books gain some spiritual and theological insights. As a priest, I write primarily for Catholics, especially those seeking more clarity and guidance on catechetical teaching. I write to share wisdom gained from theology and experience. I chose to be an author in order to reach more people beyond the boundaries of my priestly ministry. These books for me are like numerous homilies delivered on a very broad scale.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky. I served in the U.S. Air Force. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Indiana University. I then completed three graduate theology degrees: M.A. (Saint Meinrad), S.T.B. (Saint Mary), and M.Div. (Sacred Heart). I am a priest of the Archdiocese of Louisville and a canon at the Shrine of Saint Martin of Tours. The focus of my priesthood is teaching, writing, and catechesis. Many Catholics are craving God and seeking the truths of our faith. I pray they know God's love!
