Glen O?Hara

Glen O’Hara is Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Oxford Brookes University. He is the author of a number of books about contemporary Britain, including The Politics of Water in Post-War Britain (2017) and - just about to be published this year - New Labour, New Britain? How the Blair Governments Reshaped the Country (2026). Between 2021 and 2024 he was Principal Investigator on the Arts and Humanities Research-Council funded project ‘In All Our Footsteps: Tracking, Mapping and Experiencing Rights of Way in Post-War Britain’, and Co-Investigator on the similarly AHRC-funded programme ‘Spaces of Hope: Exploring the Hidden Histories of Community-Led Planning in the UK’. He is a regular commentator on current political, social and economic events across the UK press, including in The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph and Prospect magazine.
