Dr. Saiph Savage is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Northeastern University and a research collaborator at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Her work links AI, labor, and human-centered computing, focusing on gig workers and AI systems that strengthen worker agency. She was named one of MIT Technology Review’s 35 Innovators Under 35 and one of Forbes Mexico’s Top 20 AI Leaders, and UNESCO highlighted her research as a leading AI project. She advises governments and senators on AI and labor policy and serves with the OECD Global Partnership on AI for the Future of Work, and as a Chair of the International Panel on the Information Environment. She earned her MS and PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and studied Computer Engineering at UNAM. Previously, she was a tech worker at Microsoft and Intel Labs.
