His Panda series follows a quietly adventurous young girl through the small, meaningful moments of childhood — gardens, markets, kitchens, and the magic hiding in ordinary days.

His Merlin Chronicles is something altogether different — a dark Arthurian serial thirteen years in the making, built around a Merlin who is not the wise old wizard of legend but something older, more dangerous, and far more complicated.
