GEMMA RYU

Gemma Ryu writes gentle, reflective stories for children about nature, feelings, and the small changes that shape everyday life. Having grown up in Korea and lived in France and the United States, she draws on different places and languages to explore how children notice the world around them.

Her debut picture book, The Rain Came Back, follows a girl who loses her favorite yellow umbrella - and discovers, through the wonder of the water cycle, that some things don't disappear so much as change.
