C. Leo Jordan

1925-2000

C .Leo Jordan, retired instructor of computer sciences at Elizabethtown Community College in Elizabethtown KY, passed away on July 30th, 2000 in Hodgenville KY at age 75

.

After serving in the US Navy during WW II, he went on to graduate from Ball State College and Purdue University in IN. He held the position of mathematician and physicist at The Tennessee Eastman Co. in Kingsport, TN and Univac Corp, in Bristol, TN and finally a computer science instructor at Elizabethtown Community College in KY

He was a diligent student of the Bible. Having grown up in a Fundamentalist Christian home, he was familiar with the doctrine of Dispensationalism. Seeing the errors in that school of thought he began untangling himself from it. His studies prompted him to author several manuscripts (now published by his daughter and available here).

Eventually He followed in his father's footsteps to pastor a small church in Boston, KY for 17 years.

Mr. Jordan had many hobbies and passions at which he excelled: woodworking, photography, art, poetry, music, and simply being humorous. He touched many lives not the least of which were his wife and four daughters.
