“Healing is not an event, it’s a process; requiring us to surrender who we believed we were and belonged to, instead choosing WHOSE we are, and embracing the FREEDOM of WHO we can become. In short, WHO + WHOSE = FREEDOM” (Quote: L.Gray)
Lindsey Gray combines hard-won lived experience with professional expertise. But it’s her personal journey as a survivor of abuse, trafficking, suicide, anorexia, and C-PTSD keeps her grounded. Through various advocacy projects she creates space for authentic, raw “real talk” about trauma, recovery, and the “messy middle.” Dismantling shame through humor and vulnerability, she curates fearless, unfiltered humanity.
A PNW native, she now calls Virginia “home” with her husband, children, and what her neighbors generously call a "menagerie" of pets. Most days, she’s not sure who's rescuing whom in that arrangement.
Working in partnership with national anti-trafficking organizations she leads coordination efforts alongside law enforcement, survivors, educators and others. Her background spans mental health/trauma coaching, inpatient therapy, 911 operations, public speaking and program development.
Whether she’s running emergency ops, working alongside legislators or making school lunches, she empowers others by walking the exodus herself.
