ABOUT THE AUTHOR

My name is Whitney Young, and I'm a small-town girl chasing a lifelong dream of writing stories that touch hearts and inspire young minds. This is my very first book, and I am deeply grateful that you've chosen to read it.

I was born and raised in a small town in Southern Illinois, and now I have the joy of raising my own family here. I live with my wonderful husband, our amazing daughter, our two pups, Rory and Emmy, and our beloved pet rats, Cheeky and Angel.

For the past nine years, I've worked as a special education teacher, a role I absolutely love. Teaching has deepened my passion for storytelling and strengthened my belief in the power of books to teach, comfort, and inspire. I cherish every opportunity to read to my students and my daughter, creating special moments and sparking their imaginations.

As an author, I want to nurture a lifelong love of reading in children through stories that help them navigate life's ups and downs, encourage kindness, and remind them to always stay true to who they are.
