Julian Lopez

Chef Julian Lopez is the head chef, wine buyer and co-owner of Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino, California. His culinary adventure has taken him to restaurants in southern France, northern and central Italy, Los Angeles, and Spokane, Washington where he has learned various cooking techniques that have defined his cooking style. His cooking philosophy is based on his desire to transport diners to their earliest memories of food, whether that be a home cooked meal from family or an unpretentious meal from a neighborhood eatery. He firmly believes that food is intrinsically linked to memory, and the ability to tap into those memories is what creates amazing culinary experiences.
