Scott Sutton was a writer, husband, and father who believed deeply in the power of simple words to make children feel safe and loved.

I Love You Like was written as a gentle, reassuring story meant to be read aloud—again and again—as part of a bedtime routine. Shortly after the book was self-published, Scott passed away from cancer in December 2018. What remains is his voice, his love, and the words he hoped would comfort children long after the lights were turned out.
