Ignacio Bassetti Ferrer

Ignacio Bassetti was born in Montevideo in 1983. An illustrator since childhood and a writer since adolescence, he is a lifelong student of Literature, Spanish Language, and Linguistics.

His most recent publications include Zero Contact: A Survival Guide to Narcissistic Abuse (co-authored with Carolina Maricic, 2026), Anfibio (2026), and Hacia la espera (2026).

With Open City, he has published three poetry collections: Luz (2025), Zaguanes (2025), and Cuarenta/1983 (2023), as well as the novel Hasta nunca (2024), a narrative experiment written entirely in dialogue. With Ápeiron Ediciones, he published two graphic novels: John Garnett: Justicia subjetiva (2017) and John Garnett: El triunfo de la revolución (2016).

For the past decade, he has been sharing poetry and graphic humor on Instagram, creating vignettes that reflect on philosophical, political, and social themes.
