LaTasha Waddy

LaTasha Waddy is a dynamic finance attorney, children’s author, and speaker dedicated to empowering young minds through education and creativity. She is the author of The Unbelievable Adventures of Gabby and Josh Can, a children’s book series that introduces foundational financial literacy concepts to children ages 5–8 through fun, engaging storytelling. Her mission is to equip families with the tools to spark meaningful money conversations, helping children develop healthy financial habits early in life.

LaTasha has four beautiful children and is also a third-generation homeowner, having purchased her first home at the age of 25. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, her passion for teaching the next generation about finances was reignited during the pandemic when she, like many, balanced working and caring for her children. This experience fueled her desire to help parents normalize conversations about the often-taboo topic of finances.

Through her experience, LaTasha uncovered three key questions that inspire her work:

What do you wish you’d learned earlier in life about finances?

These insights became the catalyst for the creation of The Unbelievable Adventures of Gabby and Josh Can series, designed to excite young readers and their families while helping them build a solid foundation in financial literacy.

When she’s not writing, LaTasha enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and discovering new books to add to her book library.
