RED SEAL ACADEMY

About the Author

Red Seal Academy is a multi-ticketed tradesperson, project manager, and founder of Red Seal Training Academy, published under AnchorPoint Training and Consulting in Vancouver, BC. He began his trades career in Scotland, qualified through City & Guilds and the Scottish Qualifications Authority, and went on to work in heavy industrial environments across the UK, Australia, and Canada over a career spanning more than three decades.

His Canadian credentials include a Red Seal Endorsement in Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and four Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) designations covering water distribution, water treatment, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection. He has held senior operations and construction management roles at organizations including Seaspan ULC (Vancouver Shipyards), where he worked on Canada's Federal Fleet Renewal program — one of the largest shipbuilding contracts in Canadian history.

Red Seal Training Academy was founded after finding that the exam prep available to Canadian and American tradespeople was consistently underdeveloped — questions that didn't reflect real exam structure, explanations that didn't explain and build the knowledge, and content written by people who had never held the ticket. The Exam Cram Series is his answer to that gap: practical, trade-accurate preparation built by someone who has done the work, passed the exams, and supervised the journeypersons who came after him.

Each guide is created to bridge the gap between technical study and workplace application, using realistic practice questions, structured review, and straightforward explanations to support exam readiness. With a growing library across multiple trades, Red Seal Academy is committed to producing high-quality learning tools that support qualification, progression, and long-term success in the skilled trades.
