Kevin Cann

I died. I was gone approximately five minutes. I came back with everything I needed to write fifteen books and no ability to do anything else with my life. My own volition was not consulted.

I'm a Navy veteran and a retired nuclear engineer. I spent my last seven years in IT at the University of California. I retired in July 2024 and started publishing in 2026.

I co-authored Chapter 3 of Jeffrey J. Kripal's How to Think Impossibly (University of Chicago Press, 2024). At the time of publication I chose to remain anonymous to protect my employer.

I co-taught a class with Jeffrey J. Kripal at Esalen in December 2025.

Jeffrey Mishlove, who holds the only doctoral diploma in parapsychology ever awarded by an accredited American university, wrote the foreword to my UFO book.

None of that is why I write.

I write because I saw what's on the other side and came back owing a debt I can't refuse. The books are the payment. All fifteen of them. If you've been circling this material for years and nothing quite told you the truth — these books were written for you.

You can check the math. You can argue with the philosophy. You can't unfeel what happened to me, and if you're the right reader, you won't want to.

I live in California with my wife and our Chorkie.
