Elaine Ellinger

Elaine Ellinger is a Canadian researcher, author, and educator whose work focuses on Islamic doctrine and its consequences – especially for Non-Muslims, but also for vulnerable Muslims. Her interest in the subject began in 1983, shaped by conversations with refugees and a career in social services, including child protection and support for victims of sexual abuse.

Raised in a home that welcomed dozens of foster brothers and sisters from diverse backgrounds, Elaine developed a lifelong appreciation for human dignity and a strong aversion to coercion, cruelty, and the abuse of power.

She has written over 80 articles, spoken at international conferences, and produced a series of educational videos detailing the ideological basis of Sharia, jihad, and dawa using Islam’s own authoritative sources. Elaine is the founder of Perspectives on Islam and formerly served as Canadian Director of the Center for the Study of Political Islam International.

Her work stems from a deep respect for people, concern over the growing reach of Sharia within Western institutions – including media, schools, courts, and governments – and the failure of public leadership to critically examine the doctrine itself.
