Kathleen P Decker

Dr. Kathleen P. Decker is an award-winning poet and fiber artist. She is President of the Poetry Society of Virginia (2025-2027) and Past Vice President of the PSV, Eastern Region. Her poetry books include Russian Reverie, Whispers on Paper, Essence of Woman (all by Laughing CyPress), Updraft, and Fishmas: Twelve Days of Christmas by the Sea (both by High Tide Publications). Her most recent book of illustrated poetry is The Quilted Art and Poetry of Science (High Tide Publications, 2025).

She edited three haiku/senryu/tanka/renku anthologies: My Neighbor’s Life (Laughing CyPress,1999), On Crimson Wings (Laughing CyPress, 2001), and A Fountain of Dreams (High Tide Publications, 2025). She has edited several anthologies for the Poetry Society of Virginia: Quilted Poems, Views of Virginia, and Blended Voices (High Tide Publications). Her most recent anthology, Making the Unseen, Seen (High Tide Publications, 2025) is an international ekphrastic anthology about climate change.
