Kristina Calavas is a lifelong dog lover who believes in giving back to the animals who bring us joy. A portion of every book sale supports animal welfare organizations.

Living in Durham, North Carolina, with her husband and miniature dachshund Jolie, Kristina has learned that life with a dachshund means endless adventure. From dog sports to travel planning around a small but mighty pup, each day brings fresh storytelling inspiration.

When she's not writing or capturing Jolie's antics, Kristina enjoys working out, hiking, traveling, and reading voraciously. The family's adventures often revolve around their travel-loving companion.
