Weston Roudebush

Weston Roudebush served six years in the United States Air Force, including a deployment to Iraq. After his military service, he transitioned to civilian life in Texas, where he lives with his wife and their three sons on a small farm.

Waiting at the Red Gate is his first book, born from letters he wrote to his boys about the lessons he wants to pass on, about building foundations that hold, about hands that can be both strong and gentle, and about the quiet strength that shows up when it matters most.

When he’s not writing, Weston can be found building fences, raising cattle, and teaching his boys that the same hands that can protect can also create. He believes that the quiet moments between the dramatic ones are where real character is forged, and that the most important work often happens in ordinary places where no one is watching.

He still waits at the red gate.
