Dr. Seok-Woo Lee

Seok Woo Lee is a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He earned his PhD from Stanford University and completed postdoctoral research as a Kavli Nanoscience Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology. A deeply passionate materials science enthusiast, he is driven by curiosity about how materials shape technology, society, and everyday life. Through teaching, research, and outreach, he is committed to making materials science intuitive, exciting, and accessible—especially for students and readers discovering the field for the first time.
