Ashley Rawlins

Ashley Rawlins is a children’s book author who believes that magic didn’t disappear, it just got better at hiding. When she’s not writing stories filled with wonder, curiosity, and heart, she works as an informatics nurse, blending her love of technology and healthcare, to support her creative life (because even dreamers need to put food on the table).

Ashley holds a master’s degree in nursing informatics, along with bachelor’s degrees in nursing and English, which means she’s equally comfortable analyzing data and caring for patients - as she is getting lost in creating a good story. Reading and writing have always been her favorite ways to explore the world, especially the parts that bring that spark of magical wonder. Her children’s books series Science for Kids was inspired by her children and their passion for science, wonder and how the world works.

When she’s not working or writing, you can usually find her with a book in hand, spending time with her 3 wonderful children, or convincing herself that the forest is absolutely the best place to find magic
