Meg Rayborn Dawson is a homeschool mother of nine, children's therapist, and Reading Specialist with over 35 years of experience. Dedicated to solving the American Reading Crisis, she focuses on empowering parents to teach their own children.
Early in her career, Meg worked with the publisher of Samuel L. Blumenfeld’s "Alpha-Phonics", beginning a lifelong professional connection to his work. She currently works for Blumenfeld’s new publisher, where she edited "The New Illiterates Revisited" (1983/2023) and created a supplement for "Alpha-Phonics PLUS" (2025), which includes her specialized phonemic awareness exercises and her essay, "Reversing Dyslexia: Questioning the Diagnosis". Meg is the author of "Dyslexic No More" and "The Get Ready to Read Book".
Her upcoming releases include "The Complete Letter Sound Charts", "The Complete Word Lists", and "The Cursive Spellers" series.
