Patrick Sims is an educator, financial coach, and lifelong student of money habits and human behavior. With a background spanning business, finance, technology, and education, Patrick has spent nearly two decades teaching high school mathematics while helping students and families learn the real-world skills rarely taught in classrooms—budgeting, decision-making, and financial responsibility.

After working in finance and technology early in his career, Patrick saw firsthand how easily people can fall into paycheck-to-paycheck living, not because of a lack of effort, but because of a lack of clarity and guidance. That experience, along with everyday life with his family, led him to write Stop Chasing Broke, a practical guide designed to help individuals and families build healthier money habits through simple, intentional choices.

Together with his wife, Kacee, they are raising two daughters, Sydnee and Chloee, with a focus on wisdom, purposeful living, and balance. Through his teaching and writing, Patrick encourages others to stop chasing the next dollar, manage money with intention, and pursue a more meaningful and financially stable life.
