Jad Youssef

Growing up in Lebanon, I learned the art of cooking from my mum, whose kitchen was always filled with the comforting flavours of authentic Lebanese dishes. Cooking together as a family was more than just about food, it was about sharing love, stories, and tradition.

Now living in Reigate, I’ve carried those flavours with me, sharing them at our restaurant, Lebnani. Writing LEBNANI has been a true labour of love, bringing together the recipes and memories that have shaped my love to share the flavours of my childhood growing up in Beirut. The dishes in this book are simple, yet full of the vibrant, fresh flavours that are the heart of Lebanese cooking.

When I’m not cooking or writing, you’ll find me in my garden, unwinding with a cup of coffee. I hope LEBNANI inspires you to gather your loved ones around the table and enjoy the taste of Lebanon.
