Hi!
I have written a book about some sweet, brave kitties, a mommy, and a daughter. It is based on a true story. I have written the book as a mommy-daughter tale because my fondest memories of my daughter are of the two of us reading books together when she was a little girl, especially at bedtime. Also, we both love kitties--a lot! As I was writing the book, I imagined my daughter as a five-year-old with her loving heart and all the things she would feel and say or questions she would ask about the kitties who really do live in the bushes by the parking lot.
My greatest hope for my book is that children will enjoy it and love the kitties in it. I would be overjoyed to have a parent or grandparent read my book to their child or grandchild at bedtime, just like I used to with my own daughter, or for a teacher or librarian to read it to a group of children for story time! My daughter is an avid reader. It is a gift I wish for every child that they grow up loving books just like my daughter did.
Thank you so much for reading this.
Very best regards,
Michelle McKenzie :)
