B.S. Mason didn’t start out as the bookish child everyone expects – while her sister left the library with books, she left with poems and daydreams.

It wasn’t until a Christmas gift of a little record player (and a worn-out Beatrix Potter record) that stories truly came alive for her. From that moment, she saw fantasy in the ordinary – garden birds chatted like old friends, and magic sparks hid in quiet corners.

After years of scribbling ideas on scraps of paper, Mason finally wrote the book she always wanted to read. Embryo: Book One – Essential Elements is her debut novel, an epic fantasy shaped by quiet courage, hidden magic, and the belief that even silence carries meaning. She lives in Devon, finding daily inspiration in hedgerow whispers and starling song.
