Danielle Pergament began her career as an editor at Condé Nast Publications and in 2005, relocated to Rome, Italy, where she wrote regularly for The New York Times Travel section and New York Magazine. She has written extensively for The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, GQ, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, and Bon Appétit, and goop, where she was Editor in Chief. Later, she relocated to Madrid, Spain with her family. Pergament’s work has been anthologized in several books, including The New York Times Explorer, The New York Times Cultured Traveler, and The New York Times 36 Hours series. Pergament currently lives in California with her husband, two children, and a cat named Toby.
