Laurie Douglas

Laurie Douglas is an award-winning NYC artist and graphic designer whose professional career spans more than forty years. She has an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. As a graphic designer, she has created work for such diverse clients as Coca-Cola, BusinessWeek, Forbes, United Health Fund, UNICEF, United Nations Development Program, and numerous other United Nations agencies. Laurie co-illustrated Exquisite Corpse: 124 Days of Sequestered Collaboration with her husband Tim Purus and friend Jessy Duval during the 2020 pandemic.

Now retired from her design studio Laurie Douglas Graphic Design, she's pursuing personal projects such as her Monsters Ink series with over 160 drawings to date. Her newest book is Ocean Adventure A to Z: Costa Rica Coral Reef Animals Coloring Book, created in collaboration with her sister, Darcee Douglas, aka Aiden Ashlyn.
