Susanna Chapman

Susanna Chapman is an award-winning illustrator of many picture books, including The Girl Who Ran, which received a Gold Medal from the Independent Publisher Book Award, Elizabeth Warren’s Big, Bold Plans; Ada and the Galaxies; Covered in Color; The Fastest Drummer; Busy Feet, Howdy! Welcome to the Grand Old Opry; and Dragonflies of Glass. Susanna designed books in-house for a decade before embarking on a career as an independent illustrator. She lives in Nashville with her husband where she draws pictures, designs books, and paints murals.

Her forthcoming projects are I Am Mighty, written by Sharon McMahon, releasing in 2026, and her first authored/illustrated book, The Only Story, releasing in 2027.
