Manjima Misra

Manjima Misra is an educator, author, and literary commentator whose work explores the intersections of literature, education, ethics, feminism, and artificial intelligence. She currently teaches IB MYP English Language and Literature at Genesis Global School, where she designs student-centred initiatives focused on reading culture, digital mindfulness, and inclusive classroom practices. A graduate of the University of Delhi with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Manjima also holds a PG Certificate in TESOL from University of St Andrews, Scotland. Having been in the education sector for over 5 years, her teaching journey spans IB, Cambridge, and social-impact educational spaces, including roles at The Ardee School, Kulachi Hansraj Model School, and Teach For India.

She is the author of several books, including Ink Over Algorithms, The Ocean is Her Title, Detectives of Autumn House, Unapologetically Mad, and Indian Feminine Fury. Her books,covering a wide diversity of genres have been featured in The Hindu, Deccan Herald, News18, The Print, Business Standard, SheThePeople, Kitaab, and Borderless Journal.

An active presence in India’s literary circuit, Manjima has collaborated with premier cultural institutions such as the British Council, India Habitat Centre, India International Centre, Alliance Française, Kunzum, and Oxford Bookstore for her book events. Her panels have brought together some of the country’s most respected voices from the world of literature, publishing and arts, and senior faculty from Delhi University, Ashoka University and Ambedkar University.

In addition to fiction and non-fiction writing, Manjima regularly contributes essays and opinion pieces to publications such as The Telegraph, Firstpost, The Indian Express, Deccan Herald, Outlook India, The Quint, Newslaundry and Feminism in India, where she writes on education reform, AI and literature, mental health, feminist pedagogy, and the human dimensions of storytelling.
