Rob de Boer

Rob de Boer (1947) is a retired research scientist and teacher specialized in Medical Entomology.

He was employed by the University of Amsterdam and his main research activities concerned Lyme disease (vector ticks, reservoir rodents and infectious bacteria) and allergy causing mites. He contributed more than 50 original research papers to the international scientific literature and he is the author of a book about house dust mites (2023).

The book (217 pages) is a complete and illustrated synopsis and synthesis of the existing knowledge about the biology, ecology and control of house dust mites.
