Arvid Buit is an international executive coach and one of Europe's leading voices on narcissism and leadership psychology. For twenty years he has worked confidentially with CEOs, board members and owners of large companies: around ten leaders a year, never more. His field is the psychology of power: why leaders act the way they do, what it costs when nobody asks, and how the same traits produce both outstanding leadership and spectacular failure.
He is the author of three books on the subject. Wahlberg (2015) tells the story of a narcissistic CEO in freefall as fiction, because fiction gets past the armour. Red de Alfawolf (2018, with clinical psychologist Martin Appelo) makes the case that soft skills without hard edges create their own wounds. Let's Talk Leadership (2025), his first book in English, brings twenty years of boardroom psychology into one framework: five perspectives every leader must be able to hold, and a seven-step method for change that survives pressure.
Buit is accredited at master level by ICF, EMCC and APECS, and in Marshall Goldsmith's Stakeholder Centered Coaching. He lives and works in the Netherlands, and everywhere his clients do.
