Scott Artal

Scott Artal is a U.S. Army veteran, author, and the co-founder of The Peace Rebellion Movement — a mission dedicated to helping veterans, spouses, and families break generational silence and heal forward with courage.

For fifteen years after leaving the military, Scott carried the invisible weight of PTSD — in silence, in shame, and without a roadmap. Writing became the doorway back to himself, and his first book, Fifteen Years Late, became the first step of a larger movement. His work blends raw honesty, lived experience, and practical reflection, giving readers not just a story but a path.

Today, Scott writes alongside his wife and co-author, JJ Artal, bringing both sides of trauma into the conversation — the one who lived it and the one who lived beside it. Their books, companion guides, and journals form a healing ecosystem built for real families, real struggles, and real hope.

Scott continues to advocate for veterans, families, and trauma survivors through writing, speaking, and community work. His message is simple but powerful:

“You don’t heal by going quiet. You heal by going forward.”
