Colin Isard writes at the boundary of reality and speculation, weaving deep research into compelling narratives. Educated at Middlesex and Oxford Universities, and at the Institute of Education, University of London, his multidisciplinary background includes five Master’s degrees and a PGCE in Further Education.
His writing seeks to inform and challenge while offering space for reflection, drawing on the psychology of behaviour to explore the forces that shape everyday life. Through this perspective, he bridges rigorous research with narrative storytelling, synthesising complex ideas into prose that is both accessible and compelling.
This multidisciplinary approach allows him to move seamlessly from autobiographical narrative and non-fiction research—such as 'Mild Traumatic Brain Injury' and 'Paranormally Spooked'—to detective fiction and "science faction".
His other works include the biological thriller, ‘Q-Day: Evolution or Annihilation’, and the Hammond & Raven detective trilogy: ‘A Reflection to Death’, ‘The Quantum Sword’, and ‘The Entanglement Protocol’.
