John C Bott

John Bott is a Licensed Maine Fishing and Recreational Guide who loves teaching the art of fly fishing. A lifelong outdoorsman, he has explored Maine’s woods, waters, and coast in every season.

As former Public Information Officer for the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, he showcased the state’s natural beauty and outdoor adventures, representing the Maine Forest Service, Forest Rangers, and Maine’s 48 state parks and historic sites.

John and his wife Mary have served together as Sunday school teachers, volunteers, and church leaders. Guided by the Bible’s call to be a “fisher of men,” he follows the example and command of Jesus in both his work and life.
