Amanda Boulding

Amanda Boulding is a children’s author and illustrator from Berkshire, whose picture books inspire imagination, emotional awareness, and curiosity in young readers.

After studying engineering at Birmingham University and spending more than a decade in project management, Amanda returned to her first love—art and storytelling. She has since written and illustrated several picture books, including Too Much!—a heartfelt story helping children recognise and manage overwhelming emotions—and Sam to the Rescue!, which promotes water safety and environmental care through the adventures of a brave seagull.

Amanda’s work is rooted in her local community and the natural beauty of the River Thames. She regularly visits schools to lead storytelling and illustration workshops, inspiring children to explore creativity and empathy through books.

When she’s not sketching, writing, or running workshops, Amanda enjoys time outdoors with her family, finding new stories hidden in the everyday.
