Eric Colleary

Dr. Eric Colleary is a historian, curator, and author whose work explores how performance and memory shape cultural history. As Curator of Performing Arts at the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin, he oversees archives spanning centuries of theatre, magic, and popular entertainment including the personal papers and library of the great illusionist Harry Houdini. Colleary's work bridges scholarship and storytelling, tracing the lives of artists, collectors, and audiences through the artifacts they leave behind.
